  1. Maybe nine; she followed my stepson home, ha ha, so there was no documentation. Big hunter: lizards, mice/rats, all the sparrows, even a damn hummingbird once. We think she ate something that blocked things up, and thousands of dollars in vet bills later had to let her go.

But that doesn't matter now. She lived well, delighted (and infuriated) us for seven years until she couldn't anymore.

  2. See above. Yes indeed we did.

Now please show us yours, current or previous, to make me less maudlin. Let's just make this a kitteh blog!

  3. He's either sleeping or meowing endlessly for food. He has to be fed 4 times a day now just to not get too skinny! We're not sure why and neither is the vet but the increased food intake seems to have stabilized him at a relatively healthy weight and he seems to be fine otherwise.

Back when he was younger he could jump higher than any cat I've ever seen. He made a habit of jumping up a good 5-6 feet just to pull towels down.

  4. The behavior of cats is at best partially comprehensible to humans. One of the beautiful things about them is that when they jump onto something, they somehow know how to expend exactly the amount of energy required to land comfortably and elegantly.
