Microwave uses
Microwave technology is extensively used for point-to-point telecommunications (i.e. non-broadcast uses). Microwaves are also employed in microwave ovens and in radar technology.

Also, I think we all know why he hasn't a). worked in the DOE, b). worked at DARPA and c). held a "Q" clearance since 2004.
There's no telling how deep this goes.
