  1. A seven string bass?
Reminds of the old joke. A band is looking for a bass player. So they audition a guy with a five string bass and he is a virtuoso. A regular Jaco Pastorius. They watch him play with their jaws agape. After he is done, they say, "wow, that was incredible, but we were looking for a bass player." Root, fifth, root, fifth.

  2. Nice post there Blue. At the show we went to last night, [ Arnulf Lindner ] sang harmonies and played drums, piano, electric & acoustic guitar, cello, banjo, and a tenor-size uke with heavy strings that he played as a bass.
