As a lifelong Texan, and one who grew up in a small AA town, I recognize that local football is the opium of the masses. The masses of idiots. It used to be considered that it was difficult to find a new coach, as they're either fired or about to be fired. But it's actually simple. Just find someone who's smart enough to do the job and stupid enough to think it matters.
A C Gilbert, which also manufactured American Flyer model trains, was the premier vendor of chemistry sets. I even had one, although it was a hand-me-down and all the explosive chemicals had long since been used to blow stuff up. I'm guessing in modern litigious life the only chemicals in the set would be silicon dioxide and sodium chloride.
And here's the science lab!
