When Trump and his ilk talk about how political correctness is "destroying the country," they mean that they don't like being shamed for their sincere beliefs that:
(1) women are objects;
(2) "Others" (immigrants) are ruining everything
(3) White male Americans should have more of everything than anyone else in the world, even if others must go without or the world might be destroyed.
Well, Trump abolished the taboo on asserting these things. Ridicule may be the last line of defense.
