    1. I think the last Democratic Fox News debate had John Kerry in it. There's a very good reason for that.

Okay, apparently it was Al Gore in 2000.

        1. Have to say as well that being the US Secretary of State, having to fly around the world 'splainin' all our bombing and droning, and eating whatever gross-out "delicacy" your hosts force upon you at state dinners, has got to be the worst SES-15 job in the world, private air travel notwithstanding. Kerry, to his eternal credit, is doing a good job.

"Mr Secretary, the protocol chief tells me that after the traditional dinner of locust-carapace soup, goat kidneys on flatbread, and ostrich heart soufflé, we're going be treated to a performance by N'gx'yü. She's quite remarkable, and accompanies herself on a one-string fretless gourd while chanting the national epic poem in the local 17-tone scale. We should have you back in your hut by 2:30 AM at the latest."

          1. Exasperated at me? I respect Kerry for many reasons, one of which is stated at length above. I voted for him and hoped he would win because I believed then and still do that he would've been a much better president than W. But he's rather a boring public speaker.

          2. Oh, no! I was referencing that Gore/Bush debate where Gore famously sighed loudly when Dubya was speaking.

          3. Of course, And here I thought I remembered all obscure political memes. Memory is always the second thing to go.
