Reminds me of Kasich. Strickland secured federal money for high-speed rail here in Ohio, and before it was given to us Kasich won the governor seat. That asshole refused the money, which as redistributed to other states, to block the rail system. He got rid of something that would have cost the state government nothing while helping the people of his state just for oil interests.
Metric tons of CO2e produced by traveling 253 miles from IAH to DFW
Rail: 0.01 (if it were possible)
Fly: 0.05 (economy; 0.21 in first)
Prius: 0.04
Cadillac Escalade: 0.16 (same as F-150 Raptor pickup w/6.2L V8)
Rep Joe I-Apologize-to-BP Barton is right! Rail is bad for the oil industry!
