*snort* The 119th Fighter-Interceptor Squadron of the NJ Air National Guard | (until '88 they flew these guys) | had an initiation where they did this. They had some sleaze bar on Rt 40 they lurked in and, regularly, one of them would set himself on fire doing exactly this.
I think they cleaned up their act when they traded up to F-16's.

This isn't the first time, is it? I swear I've heard of similar things happening with this exact issue before.
I like the guy who was way more worried about stamping out the fire on the floor. And, they had a bona-fide fire extinguisher right on the table!
