Tempting though the wager is, I'm not going to take it. Shy said the same thing on Twitter recently, and I'd come to the same conclusion. If he does debate, he'll be reduced to a whimpering pile of misery. If he doesn't, he'll break a tradition going all the way back to, ooh, 1960. He's already broken the traditions of speaking in complete sentences and making any kind of sense. That did him no harm, so what's he got to lose?
