I already made my dinner, since I am a bit uncertain my power is going to be consistent all evening (hello, storm), and I made pasta — but I did use Goya artichoke hearts, so, points?
Goya (the brand) started in PR, but is based in NJ now. At least in NJ and PA, their stuff — usually relegated to the "ethnic" aisle — is consistently cheaper than the same product in other aisles, like spices and beans and artichoke hearts and juices. Also too, their Adobe con Pimiente is delicious, especially on a burger (first time I had it that way was at a burger stand on a beach in Virgin Gorda). It's loaded with MSG, which is probably why it is so good
I had a co-worker from Barbados who loved Malta Goya and would bring it in and drink it at her desk. Management called her in because they thought she was openly chugging beer at the office.
Speaking of Colin, I'll probably post a thread on that tomorrow, maybe we'll figure out where the center of this mess is by then.
We were on a day trip, snorkeling at The Baths, which are just amazing. We actually were staying on Tortola, at a campground on Brewer's Bay (when we were there a bajillion years ago, it was only $5/night if you brought your own tent, $25 if they provided the tent. I think it's now $25/$40, but still an unbeatable deal to camp on a beach in the Caribbean). I love the BVI.
That said, I will go fucking BALLISTIC if the fucking media calls Hillary the "presumptive Democratic nominee" before the polls close here in California. I do NOT want to have to beg and plead voters to go to the polls because they say "I don't need to vote-she already won!" Kindly STFU until the votes are cast, reporters…
Wasn't going to post too much about this but it's actually worth 60 delegates so it's actually more important than some of the smaller states.
Picture is mofongo, which I have been told is amazing but I haven't had it myself.
| Oh, Wow! |
Now I need to find plantains. AND IT HAS BACON WOOHOO
Anything with pork and plantains is going to be good. I think it's one of the laws of nature.
That's true. CERN just verified the Weak Pork&Plantain Nuclear Force with the large Hadron Collider last year.

Asked my friend who's from PR and brings up food a lot. He says it's not Puerto Rican but it sounds tasty so you get points anyway.

Oh, it's like that here too. Adobe con Pimiente on a burger sounds amazing, and now I want to try that so much.

Not used to interesting drinks, I take it?
Not even a little.

When we get majorities in House, Senate, and the Presidency. The GOP will never agree.
We have to straighten out the crazy number we did to their economy first: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tt-mpuR_QHQ
So, apparently all the votes in PR are hand counted, so this could take a while.
Oh crap: http://thehill.com/blogs/ballot-box/presidential-…
@tonydokoupil
Dem Party of PR tells @MSNBC that the Sanders campaign is the one that requested a cut in number of polling stations today.
Projections now are 65-35 Clinton, but the final count is going to take ages. Sigh. Time for GoT.

I am glad she won.
