  1. Footage of the event on YouTube shows a chaotic affair, punctuated by impromptu urination stops and staggering.

In other words, Undergrad Thursday nights.

    "Another Boilermaker, Ma'am?"

"yes I said yes I will Yes."

  2. I assume I can still get drunk even though I've never made it past page 2 of Joyce, like most peopel?

    Also, I am already drunk.

    1. Yes. Also too.
I think I made it to page 30 or 40 of U, in college, [ a couple times ] then decided to just hang-out in the Irish bars once in a while instead.

    2. Organised by the publican and critic John Ryan, participants in the 1954 Bloomsday included the authors Patrick Kavanagh and Flann O’Brien. “They attempted to retrace the journeys taken by the characters in the book, starting at the tower and making their way to Sandymount Strand. They had a horse and carriage, but they were all heavy drinkers, and although the plan had been to re-enact the whole book, according to accounts, by the time they reached the city centre, they abandoned that and spent the night in the pub,” says Traynor.

That's perfectly acceptable. Even the Pros have trouble following Joyce.
