The thing that irks me the most is that this is not a victim-less crime. As well as greedy/stupid banks and/or investors (for whom I have little sympathy), you have got to figure that there are a bunch of builders, contractors, service companies, workers, etc, etc (e.g. "little guys") that were also screwed out of payment after these bankruptcy filings. And the yam just walks away scot-free, with nary a dent on his reputation or potential to open up another failed business. You'd think his yammering hoards of followers would be a little more wary of a guy that's so willing to screw their own kind, but that would require a level of awareness that they apparently are unable to grasp.
