  1. Reminds me of this supposed conversation.
Andrew Lloyd Webber: Why do people take an instant dislike to me?
Alan Jay Lerner: Because it saves time.

  2. Strikingly, the reasons people commonly give for hating Clinton now are almost the exact opposite of the reasons people gave for hating her in the 1990s. Back then, she was a self-righteous ideologue; now she’s a corrupt tool of the establishment. Back then, she was too rigid; now she’s too flexible.

And this is why I am instantly suspicious that Hillary haters have mommy issues…

  3. Because she's been a part of the political aristocracy of this country continuously for longer than Kurt Cobain's been dead and Justin Bieber's been alive, and I'm tired

  4. Noonan saw in Clinton “an implicit insistence throughout her career that hers were the politics of moral decency and therefore those who opposed her politics were obviously of a lower moral order.”

But then Noonan realized she wasn't looking at Clinton, rather her own reflection in the serving tray her afternoon scotch came on.

  5. Let's see- the repubs hated Bill, because they finally met a Dem who could out-campaign them and out think them, they hated his talented, capable wife by association, and the thought that a former first lady could be prez? It hurts their tiny little minds.
