  1. Hola, Wonkvillarians! I know it's been a long time since I rapped at ya, but some crazy shit's been goin' down. Now, I'm not here to argue about who said what about whose mother or who told who to stick what where or who crashed whose Festiva into which Pump 'N' Munch while high on whose stash. No! I'm here to discuss one thing, the great sport of watching grown men run around in tight pants! That's right, Fantastical Foot-the-Ball!

Smokey and I have created a new league called Ed Balls' World of Wonkcraft League League. If you would like to join, please send an email to me at natl.redacted.cmdr[at]gmail.com . Please include your ID username so we know who the hell you are. Right now there are 8 open team spots. If those fill up, we can probably add more once we figure out how. After you email me, I will send you a hand-written* invitation through ESPN, so watch for a missive from "ESPN Fantasy Sports" (* invitation will not be hand-written.) If you've never joined ESPN, you'll be asked to create an account. It's free and they don't spam too much.

Please note, this is an entirely new league, so if you had a team with the old league, that team will not carry over. You can use your same ESPN account to join Ed Balls' World of Wonkcraft League League but you will need to create a new team. I think you can use the old team name, but don't quote me on that. You may have to change a letter or add a number or something. Or you can just hit ;lkjsd;lkfj ;lkjasldfa and use that.

The league and ESPN Fantasy Sports are free to join. However, if you would like to contribute $9 to the end-of-year Super Balls Trophy Prize (prize to be determined), please mention that in your email and I will include the PayPal coordinates to point your moneez at. If you don't want to, that's fine too, but we will consider you a cheap bastard**. (** No, we won't.)

That's all for now. Once the teams are set (hopefully over the next couple of days) we will set a date for the draft and further instructions will appear forthwith in this here Wonkvillage Town Square.

    Good Luck and Happy Fantasizing!

  2. I have no idea what I'm doing, but I at least got as far as setting up my team name and picture, so I'm pretty sure I'm on my way to winning it alllllllll!

  3. OK, so I signed up via the ESPN e-mail invite, but I have a question: how do I change my real name to my Wonkville/Wonkette one? Not that I have a problem with you good people knowing my IRL name, but I'd rather roll with my username, except I don't see how to make that change in the team settings. Some of you appear to have done so, so you know how it's done: please advise!

    1. After some experimenting, we think we have figured it out. First, go to your team page. In the very upper right corner, in the black banner, there's an icon that sort of looks like a person. Sort of. Hover your cursor over that and a menu should appear. On the left of that menu, it should say "Account Information." Click that. That should bring up another thing (menu? window? not really sure what to call it) that says "Update Your Account" with your email and a couple other things at the top. Scroll down using the browser scroll bar until you see "Personal Information". It should have your current name in the first name and last name fields. Highlight and change those to what you want, then scroll down and click "Update Account." That should do it.

      Yay?

      1. Yay and nay, because it asks for a last name and won't take a blank for an answer. So I'll be Callyson! on ESPN I guess. But that's something–thanks honey!
