  1. "Workplace precariousness" kind of says it all. If you lose your job, you lose your health care insurance and your retirement (however illusory a 401(k)-based retirement may be), along with your dignity and a place to go every day. What we could do is expand Soshecurity to make private retirement plans a luxury, and provide Medicare for all, not just the Olds. The bureaucracies are already in place and paid for.

    We could do that….

  2. You can’t have observed Farage over the past couple of years and not think Trump may well win in November. That’s Britain’s lesson to America. There is too much smug Hillary-has-it sentiment swilling around.

Trust me, as confident as I am I'm not taking anything for granted. I've got something like eight phonebanks this month, and might have another event I don't know about yet. On to victory!

PS: I'm the blonde in the blue shirt here:

    1. We're all counting on you to save us.

[And snark aside, I genuinely admire your un-cynical dedication to this important task.]

      1. Man, if it is, it's a dark one. Looks like the style predates the period he'd be in at that age (if not the frequency).
