I've been to Camdenton, MO. It's not hard to imagine the people there behaving this way. It is a bit hard to imagine a same-sex couple choosing to live there. Just read these |reviews| for the nearby "Hub" restaurant, which purports to serve German food.

So I ate dinner here and I have to say, to call what they serve here German Cuisine is an insult to the good people of Germany.

Walk in, the space has the feel of a dumpy party center. I walked to the sign that said "Wait here to be seated". After a few minutes with no host or hostess in sight I started to wonder if I should just seat myself. I started looking around for some one who looked like they worked there, but the only people in the whole place was two tables of customers already sitting down. I finally spotted an employee talking on their phone hiding behind what could be described almost as a gas station style pay counter, complete with small bags of chips and other displays you would expect and the local fuel depot. After getting their attention they disappeared a found who would then be my hostess/waitress for the rest of my adventure….

Oh well maybe the entree will redeem? No, I'm not sure what each brat was supposed to be but one tasted and looked like a shriveled breakfast sausage. The other two, well I have had better at a cheap baseball stadium. The kraut that came with it I think was there just to be the depressing icing on the meal. Decent sauerkraut can be bought in most grocery stores and simply put on a plate after being warmed up. This sauerkraut and been cooked to death to ensure all flavor and texture was removed prior to serving.
