  1. Unlike 2004, where winning Ohio and Florida was just enough for George W. Bush to beat Kerry, the demographics have changed and Trump will need to get other wins in state that currently do not favor him.

That's the one thing keeping me semi-sane at the moment.

  2. I'm still worried, though. What with the race tightening the past few weeks. I just don't think we should take anything for granted. God help us if Trump gets elected. What will the neighbors say?

    1. Then by God, the neighbors will build a wall. All the neighbors. And the pointy things on top of the wall will be facing inward. And there will be a new and very different, and very ugly Civil War and many will die – but that's just silly, because he CAN'T win, right? Right?

      (sob)

  3. I don't just want to see him defeated, I want to see him humiliatingly crushed. There are too many idiots that seem intent on voting for him, so I guess my dream will never be a reality, but I'm still holding out hope.

    1. I do, too. I want the results to send an unmistakable message. I want there to be as much of a sweep as possible in the house and senate as well. I don't want the world to think we're a country of—

      —oh who am I kidding….

    2. Yeah me too. If Hillary can emasculate him in the debates, all the self-hating losers who find their redemption in him will fall away.

And yes, it must be a political/rhetorical (not literal, although that would be fine too) emasculation. She must make him seem like a bawling baby, a whining child, a bully cowering when confronted with real courage.

      1. If the optics seem that she's playing Trump's own game (disempowering the opponent, ad hominem attacks), that will work to Trump's advantage and she knows it. The last thing that people who are leaning toward voting Trump will like is a female who seems to disempower a male. They'll be looking for any excuse to claim she does that – they have for years.

Instead she'll do what Obama did: Elevate the conversation to inspirational vision-level stuff, to sound like, "C'mom you folks on the fence, listen to your higher self and join us. We're the side you want to be on if you search deep inside. And we have cookies."

The problem is that people are more amenable to hearing that from a smart, capable blah guy then they are from a smart, capable grandma.

        1. You are probably right. The nuclear option could blow up in her face, and we'd all have four years of collateral damage. Have to see she's not pitching a vision much these days. As Tweetie often says, you can't beat something with nothing.

          1. I worry when I ads for Hillary on MSNBC. Are her consultants just burning through the money in order to "earn" their commission on ads?
