Mesplé has been blacksmithing since the age of 11 and began working in a foundry at 14. He earned his Bachelor of Fine Art in Sculpture from Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design. In 2011 he achieved a Master of Science in Arts, Computation and Engineering from the University of California, Irvine. Mesplé is an instructor of Rapid Prototyping and 3D Modeling at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. Mesplé is currently represented by House of Wren.
