The only prominent supporter of the Republican candidate in the high-tech community, Mr. Thiel is making his first donation in support of Mr. Trump’s election. He will give $1.25 million through a combination of super PAC donations and funds given directly to the campaign, a person close to the investor said on Saturday….The source, who requested anonymity [and was granted it because we're the New York fucking Times and we do what we fucking well please], said the investor feels the country needs fixing, and Mr. Trump can do it.
Bonus feature: today's OT gif. FYI, they're dancing to Manfred Mann's |"Pretty Flamingo."|
IMO, Paypal is less a "tech" company and more a "don't-call-us-a-bank" company. So I can't say I'm surprised he's throwing money at the candidate that decidedly isn't endorsed by Comrade Warrenova.
And I have the feeling that the gif above, with the dancing teenagers that aren't allowed to touch each other, is from one of those "The Bomb and You," duck-and-cover shorts. The scene originally ended with a blinding flash, right?

Oh and mods if the headline could be fixed to read "Smart Enough to Found Paypal; Dumb Enough to Donate $1.25M to tRump" I'd appreciate it.
Perhaps you could run your headlines by someone who is versed in the English Arts. You could be creating a job! I hear Blue's good at proofreading.
Me no talk good, you right.

What a great book. I was reading on an airplane once and laughing out loud so often that my seatmate demanded to know what was so funny.
absolutely. I had the pleasure to hear him read some of his new stories a few years back in Berkeley. Great in person too.
Well, it's not like he's working on electric cars, solar, or spaceships, that's my point.

How much has he given to DWS's campaign?

Duck and cover shorts for the guys, but aren't the girls wearing duck and cover skirts?
Actually it was an ad for the portable record player in the foreground.

Hmmm… Doesn't seem to have much in the way of semiconductors. It might be able to survive an EMP. Carry on.
