  1. Los Angeles @ Detroit

..what, no morning game? I don't get to see the Patriots – Bengals game? Fuck you, KCBS

    Kansas City @ Oakland

    Dallas @ Green Bay

So we're one for three when it comes to broadcasting good games. And the NFL wonders why its ratings are down…

      1. (grumpily thinks to herself "The rule of what? Force the locals to like the team they just got by blocking the good stuff?")

        1. If you have the NFL Redzone channel on your cable package, you can kind of watch all the games at once, with no commercials. They just show all the scoring plays in all the games. It's weird, but worked when I was trying to follow the Broncos. Of course they had Peyton and were scoring (and getting scored on) every three minutes, so it was like watching their whole game.

          1. The red zone has always been for loading and unloading of passengers. There's never stopping in a white zone.

        1. Huh! Wouldn't have figgered her for a Tejana, but…

          Early life and education

Chozick grew up in San Antonio, Texas, where she began working in journalism writing for the San Antonio Express News as part of a program whereby she would get school credit for working off campus. She attended The University of Texas at Austin, where she was originally a journalism major, but switched to English and Latin American studies after three weeks.

          Career

Chozick began writing about Clinton in 2007, while working for the Wall Street Journal. In 2008, she was a member of the traveling press of both Clinton and Barack Obama. Previously, she worked in a number of different places, including Tokyo. After writing for the Journal for eight years, she joined the Times in 2011 to write about corporate media. In 2013, she was promoted to the Times' political team, with a focus on Hillary Clinton and the Clinton family.

      1. Virtually silent? She addressed it in the second debate FFS! God forbid Hillary should focus on what she wants to do for this nation rather than keep the focus on Trump FFS…

          1. Yeah, and we so far have a vague "it's coming in 2017" for the US. Meanwhile the UK gets it next month, Taiwan already has it, France gets it in December… rip us

  2. Random true fact: My parents and grandparents are buried in Riverside Cemetery in Stoughton.

Also fact: I had my ascending colon removed three weeks ago because cancer. Currently healing four inch slit in belly. So far, so good.

    1. Shitfuck. I second (or sevend) the thoughts of our fellow 'villains, but especially those of the Felonious One, "let the so good go a long, long way." Indeed. Keep us updated, please.

As for Stoughton (those of you who have heard the Wisconsin accent are now saying "Stoah-ten" along with me) it's funny and sad that I lived in Madison about 7 years all together and never made it there. It seemed like a nice little burg at one time that sort of turned into a white flight getaway for those leaving parts of Madison, much like Sun Prairie.

    1. Huh. Thanks. At least I got there before the encore. In "Not Fade Away", in fact, which is one of the songs I don't hear quite the way I used to. "I'm going to tell you how it's going to be…". Not quite "Good Morning Little Schoolgirl", but.

      1. Nice! Last time I saw them was actually five years ago yesterday. I was at Las Vegas Motor Speedway for the Indycars race, and they were the pre-race entertainment. The actual race was shorter than the concert, as Danny Weldon was involved in a crash in lap 11, which killed him dead…

  3. Back in the 80s, someone suggested the Raiders become the NFL's first all-road team and be christened The Raiders of the Lost Park.

  4. I've never been a fan of any of the teams on that side of the bay, and least of all those guys. I really shouldn't comment on any of the sportsball posts, though–I just don't care enough about any of them to expend the energy. Aside from motorsports where the steering wheel turns both directions, that is.

  5. It's passed the state Senate and Legislature, Gov. Sandoval said he'll sign it. Still has to get approval from the league owners, I guess. I don't care one way or another, as long as I gtfo of NV before my taxes go up because of it.

  6. B-but if there's an NFL team in Vegas people will gamble on the games and undermine the integrity of professional football!

    Hahahahahhahhahahaa….

The way these billionaires milk government for absurd subsidies to their hobbies is almost as horrifying as the willingness of ordinary citizens to go along with it.
