☑ Marijuana legalized, and we can stop sending people to jail for smoking a joint.
☑ The Lilac Hills development, which would have trampled sensible land use planning and overridden the vote of the county board by creating a new sprawlville out in the desert northeast of San Diego, was defeated.
☑ Darrel Issa might still lose.
☑ A CA gun and ammunition control measure passed. Every little bit helps!
☑ Both measures to give the Spanos family a half-billion dollar bribe to keep a football team here in San Diego went down ignominiously.
☑ Proposition A, which would have raised the San Diego sales tax to finance more highway construction (oh all right, maybe some more mass transit, someday, but not now) lost.
I don't know why those checkboxes insist on being on a line by themselves like that, but I have learned that if you compulsively edit the HTML to get just the right typographic effect, InstenseDebate shuts the whole thing down like a sperm in a legitimate rape.
I'm legitimately shocked over the way my bright red rural Nevada county voted. Sure, they went overwhelmingly for drumpf, but down-ballot we got a Democrat elected to Harry Reid's seat, a Democrat to the hotly contested House seat, defeated the pimp Dennis Hof in his bid for State Assembly, voted FOR background checks, For legalized pot, FOR breaking the stranglehold of NV Energy, and FOR repealing the sales tax on shit like wheelchairs, crutches and prosthetic limbs. That's all a helluva lot more liberal than what happened in my (apparently even more red) county across the line in California. Now I'm conflicted.
Yeah, surprised the hell out of me. People are very protective of the whorehouses. The local Red Hat ladies have monthly brunches in them. I'm not opposed to them myself, but I don't want the most notorious pimp since Joe Conforte having anything to do with the levers of power.
I'm sure Trump will find a job for him.

|poor Lightnin' sees nothin but trouble|
|Damn shit.| (Just Scrapper, no Leroy. Even sadder.)
|Some Libba|
She's just effortless.. Wow, thanks for that.
|sorry in advance..|
Other good news, some of it shamelessly local:

Damn, I (gladly) forgot about Issa. Will there be a |commemorative car alarm sound| if he loses?
I think Issa won by 1% or so.
A lot of local measures passed here that are also good news, and some local politicians won that will be good public servants.

How does Drumpf win and that odious Dennis Hof lose? They're two sides of the same coin.

AZ. passed a minimum wage hike too.
Really? That's great news.
Plus Babboo got O'Halleran'd! Three sane things!! Three!
no devil's smoke for AZ though and Walnuts won again
There's so many things that suck ass in AZ. I was happy with three things. Thanks, Zippy Killjoy. : D
