I've always loved California, always loved being a native son, by accident of birth. I'm not well equipped to live in dense population centers where the liberals are amassed, so as soon as I was legally allowed to, I escaped to the mountains. Work took me away for a short time, but it's great to be back. I especially love being a liberal in redneck country, especially knowing there are sekrit liberals everywhere, behind every rock and tree.
