  1. My first inclination is to say, "Calm down, chas, it's going to be all right." But you kept warning us about Trump every day, and you were right.

    1. I'm not going away or giving up. Had a good talk with my son in AZ yesterday to make sure he's doing OK, we're all going to be OK. Hang in there, sister, we're with you.

    2. I was planning to be in D.C. for the inauguration. Not now.

I also seriously re-thinking any friendship or acquaintance that I have with anyone who I know or suspect voted for Trump. These people have just sold our future. They don't deserve my giving them a pass anymore.

Some older neighbors who call me often for little favors, which I gladly do even though I have known for years that they lie to me and take advantage of me, well no more. The wife called me on Wednesday and left a message asking if I would drive her husband to the doctor because she thinks he has appendicitis. I ignored the message. I still haven't called her back. If he is really that sick she can drive him to the hospital, not the doctor's office, or call an ambulance. She was calling me so that she could save herself the cost of the ambulance co-pay by having me drop everything and drive him there, at my expense.

These people are wealthy, they have multiple cars, multiple children, multiple houses, she's a nurse, they cheat on their taxes and claim residency in another state, they are angry right-wingers, they don't get my generosity anymore.

  2. Also too:

wolves are hungry and we have have been spoiling for a fight

Thank you for killing my appetite and keeping me on my diet, trolls!

    1. These people are now exposed for the monsters that they are and we should all be scared. We should also all join the resistance. I am glad that California is being pro-active about not abandoning its citizens, and I am heartened by the groundswell that is starting.

  3. A few words from the guy we lost recently:

♪♫I'm sentimental, if you know what I mean:
I love the country but I can't stand the scene.
And I'm neither left or right,
    I'm just staying home tonight,
Getting lost in that hopeless little screen.
But I'm stubborn as those garbage bags
    That time cannot decay—
I'm junk, but I'm still holding up this little wild bouquet:
Democracy is coming to the USA.♪♫
