The reason I've read it more than once is that I lived in that life most of my adult life. Not a patch-holder, but I walked (and rode) among them. And nearly every one of them was a reactionary right-winger. Never understood why outlaws were such fans of law and order, but here we are.
Preaching to the choir here…how do we convince those who feel they've lost out already and voted for the other side?
Take away their Obamacare, Medicare and Soshecurity.
I've never understood why, when they think they're being forgotten, they cleave to the wrong side. Every damned time.
