I, for one, welcome our new air-breathing gilled overlords. Or those with tentacles, those guys are sexy as hell. Reply

Here's a question for you, C_R- what's the most common bioluminescent life form in the SF Bay area? I'm bummed I never checked out ctenophores in NJ (are they still there?), nor did I realize they were bioluminescent as well as iridescent. Reply
| Dinoflagellate algae (blooms) | or, if you want big critters, | Crystal jellies. | Yeah, they still show up, occasionally, along with "Sea Gooseberries" (another ctenophore, which aren't luminescent) <img src="https://natureinfocus.files.wordpress.com/2011/07/p1110575ablog3.jpg"/> BTW, those lovely Blue Tide Diatom blooms are pretty toxic. I wouldn't swim. Reply
I think once in my 14 years here I've gotten my whole body wet in the Pacific. Too damn cold. Edit: Department of Redundancy Department, can you tell I'm home sick with a cold? Reply

Showers and Patchy Fog

Wonkville is no space for ploonerisms.
I'll huff, and I'll puff, and I'll hoe your blouse down!

Now that's tasteful without being gaudy!
I'm dusting off the Menoctopus as we speak.

that laser-cut char around the edges really adds some old fashioned charm.
Just like our grandfathers in the shtetl used to do!
"It's coherent light!"
"So, it talks?"
"No…"
| Henry | Nagila!
That ain't kosher!
We're gonna need a bigger week.

Ah, the Lighthouse at R'lyeh, one of the √7 Wonders of the World!
Maybe the Sox could get it to play left field at Fenway.
