  1. This is the real "new normal". Americian mfg jerbs heading offshore! Coal is on its way out! Look over there! Something shiny!

  2. Goldman Sachs: $7.26 billion in seven settlements

The bank paid $5.1 billion to settle with state and federal officials this year. But Goldman will be able to reduce its bill by as much as $1 billion through government incentives and tax credits.

“They appear to have grossly inflated the settlement amount for P.R. purposes to mislead the public, while in the fine print enabling Goldman Sachs to pay 50 to 75 percent less,” said Dennis Kelleher, the founder of the advocacy organization Better Markets, referring to the government announcement. And that is before the tax benefits of the deal are included.

  3. Fucking Wells Fargo bought my mortgage. I hate my moneys going their way. I'ma try to get my credit union to trust me, but I don't want to pay the appraisal fees in case it doesn't work out–again. Got to sell that albatross in NV…

      1. I had no say in it, they just bought my mortgage from my original lender. Funny how when WE want to change lenders, we have to pay them, pay the appraiser, pay the county for transfer taxes or fees, etc.

I need to sell the other place first, then after refinancing the loan, pay it down as much as I can with whatever proceeds I get from the sale. It's stressful, I'll get through it.
