We had a tough guy, former special forces, working for a company I was at about 10 years back, the conversation with him always turned to how tough his training was- he would say things like "we would get no sleep, and we would never know when it would end". I replied, "Oh, that sounds like grad school". For some reason he didn't like my comparison. I guess the first thing you lose in that training is your fucking sense of humor.
Lemme guess: Because soon the U.S. is going to publicly advocate torture and not have to use jargon.
Jargon is itself a form of torture.
