Slightly OT, I'm watching a 30th anniversary tribute |concert| to Bob Dylan on a cable channel I never knew I had. It occurred in 16 October 1992. So many are gone: Richie Havens, George Harrison, Johnny and June Carter Cash, etc.
Eddie Vedder is wonderful on "Masters of War," and Neil Young doing "Just Like Tom Thumb's Blues" is pretty good, but the Clancy Brothers and Tommy Makem brought tears to my eyes:
♪♫O the foes will rise with the sleep still in their eyes,
And they'll jerk from their beds and think they're dreaming.
But they'll pinch themselves and squeal and they'll know that it's for real
The hour that the ship comes in.♪♫
Some musicians get this stuff, and when they do it's beautiful.
The hed cartoon has nothing much to do with the site, but I can't resist a good fart joke.
Really, this Google collection is a fabulous resource. Bookmark for when you need a good distraction from our crappy political reality.
You're 12. You'll fit in just fine here.
This |one| one would put the damper on excessive optimism.
