  1. There were great delays, about seven years of delays, tremendous cost overruns. We’ve ended all of that and we’ve got that program really, really now in good shape, so I’m very proud of that.

    Nothing has really changed with the F-35 program since Trump took office.

    A reporter who actually reports the facts and doesn't just let what politicos say unchallenged? I'll have to check in with this website more frequently!

  2. A defense contractor acquaintance once told me that all the services, but particularly the Air Force and Navy which are run by pilots, hated the very idea of drones. General Atomics showered enough lobbyists with enough money that Congress finally just went ahead and appropriated the damn things, at which point the services couldn't resist.

    The Air Force successfully used reconnaissance drones in the Vietnam War, when microelectronics were in their infancy, so you know they could see it coming.<img src="https://understandingempire.files.wordpress.com/2013/12/lightning-bug.png&quot; />
