Oh, they don't mind politics. They just want it to be the type of political message that they support. The whole advert could have been fixed with the mother and daughter being swarmed by a troop of Border Patrol agents and tossing them into a back of a van for further interrogation and possible ties to radical Islamic terrorism.
But seriously, it was a very good spot. And even if they couldn't play the full ad during the game, looks like they are getting plenty of press about it now.
Audi, fer chrissakes, which fouled the world's air with diesel exhaust from gamed engine management systems, had an ad touting their support for equal pay for women.
Which is great but I'm pretty sure it was unions, and not benevolent German management, that made that happen in the auto industry.
