    1. Buchanan: broke the country
      A. Johnson: broke repair of said country
      Pierce: Fugitive Slave Act
      Harding: Teapot Dome (might have been inpeeched if he hadn't croaked)
      Tyler: Staets Rites! Later served in CSA gov. Started process of inflicting TX on rest of us
      W. H. Harrison: too dumb to get in out of cold
      Fillmore: inspired god-awful comic. Compromise of 1850 (slavery in what is now AZ & NM), related fugitive slave stuff
      Hoover: introduced country to trickle-down economics. Still doesn't work.

      Arthur and van Buren are in "meh" territory.
