A tired, and exhausted PIO Joel Despain, coming off a thirty minute press conference updating the Mad Citys' citizens of the upcoming "Ride the Drive" event, was thirsty. Reading over the day'ses incidents, he noticed something truly troubling. It seemed one of the new recruits had taken a run-of-the-mill crime story and not over-dramatized it. PIO Despain, looked despairingly at his glass of water, set it down and poured himself a cup of joe. "It's going to be a long night," he said to no one. "Lousy kids, can't even trust them to blow things out of proportion," he said, although his thoughts were a bit more pithier.
He took a sip of java, loosened his tie, rolled up his sleeves, picked up his trusty Paper Mate and, wrote:
"There are 243,344 storeys in the Mad City, this is one of them."

Three guys coming back from a hockey game. I pity the fool…
I believe I'd be a better short story writer today if I'd taken that job as a police incident chronicler when I was young.
Oh God–something like this happening when I have my dogs in the car would be my biggest nightmare. Glad everyone is OK FFS.
