  1. Okay Washingtonians: run to the store and buy up all the milk and disposable diapers. But whatever you do, for God's sake don't build garages or get snow tires.

    1. It's flat enough around there that as long as you have good radials you'd be fine. It's the moe-rons who think 4WD conquers all that end up in the ditch

      1. About two years ago I was having issues climbing an icy, snow-covered hill. I had to slow down in the wrong spot and ended up with my drive wheels on ice, so I couldn't get traction to start up again (fanciest part about the brakes in my old car was the booster). I ultimately had to roll back down the hill again to find purchase to finally get going and scale the hill.

While I was figuring out what to do, an SUV came up behind me and decided to get around me with the Power of Four Wheel Drive. He climbed the hill and crested it smoothly. Sideways.

          1. State offices are all either closed (west) or on liberal leave (eastern shore and southern MD). The Gov pretty much said stay off the roads, fools, and most of the school systems have to be closed up by now.

    1. There's a cabin at about 8000 feet on Mt Shasta, in the spring they dig a tunnel down 20 feet or so to get to the front door. Pretty neat.

    1. It's funny but the first year I moved to Cleveland, 1995, NJ got its biggest snowfall on record, about 33 inches. We got about 3 from the storm in Cleveland but came within an inch of breaking their seasonal record, we had over 100 inches of snow that winter.

      I FUCKING LOVE SNOW

    1. That is or was a cool site. Almost as much fun as clickclickclick.click, which is actually a URL; IntenseDebate doesn't recognize it though so you'll have to type it in.

      1. Yeah, that clickclickclick site kinda freaked me out. Prolly time to trot it out for my fine conspiracy-minded faceborg friends again, they scare so easily.

The center of the low is passing offshore now and all the truly cold air is set to wrap around the backside of it as it travels up north. Looking forward to sheets of ice everywhere instead of nice snow fun.

Do I get to blame Trump for this yet, or is it still Obama's fault?

      1. Bigly!

        1. Another friend in upstate new york reports a foot but the cake effect hasn't licked in yet- uh, the lake effect hasn't kicked in.
