Last time I went to Los Angeles, they had an electronic thing mounted on a pole with a bunch of coin slots with LED's that told you how much time your money had bought. It didn't tell you which space you had paid for, though. There were four slots for, presumably, four parking spaces, but none were numbered or otherwise marked.
And in many cases, you'll also need a compressor. Thing is, most remote jobsites I've been on, I need to recharge the batteries anyway. I go prepared. Or I did, when I still worked.

The last time I went to LA I stopped by the La Brea Tar Pits. It was cool.
The fact that we have so many meters in this country is showing the metric system is working!
Different [Meter.]
Meter? I never even touched her!
Will it cut through 2" galvanized pipe on one charge? Makes me want to through my MIlwaukee 12v impact drill in the trash.
It would also be nice if there were uniform electric car plug-in standards.
THIS electrochemist still hasn't bought any battery powered power tools. Yay, extension cords!
…as if there's one type of gasoline?
I could understand that

I got my first 9v. rechargeable Skil drill more than 30 years ago. Just the thing for screwing together chimney pipes, which is what I did back then.
There are battery operated devices for all kinds of screwing. Technology!
