They use their unfairly "won" majorities in state legis to redraw congressional districts with similar distortions; this gives them control of the House almost by default, and it won't be unwound any time soon.

If we act quickly and strongly enough, by the time the 2020 Census has rolled around we'll be able to at least start unwinding.
North Korea should have us all dead long before then.
