I'll also note that the administration's explanation of how this 'review' got started doesn't really pass the laugh test.

The review was prompted by a belief that there were inefficiencies in the current procedures and concerns over a policy change made in the closing days of the Obama administration, according to the official, who insisted on anonymity in order to disclose the sensitive information.
None of this passes the laugh test. The whole damn is ridiculous and only serves to rile up the wingnuts with fantasies that the Obama administration is the bad guy here. Now all the RWNJs are foaming at the mouth, thoroughly convinced that Rice, Bamz and who knows who else will all be going to prison any day now.
