When I left the Bay Area, I lit in Ventura County for a year before heading to points south. Back in the late 60's, that was all country out there. Amazing what's become of it in less than a lifetime.

No Reagan freeway, as far as I can remember, but there is a George Bush freeway.
There's a Nixon Freeway in southern California, but they wisely renamed part of it the Marina Freeway.
