I used to have an aquarium with guppies, goldfish and a plecostomus to keep things tidy. A goldfish had about a two inch dookie dangling, and the plecostomus couldn't resist. Ate it all, and continued eating the source until there was only about 3/4 of a goldfish left swimming around with the monster still attached, like a fishy centipede. I flushed the whole damned bunch of 'em. Gross AF.
High density animal production has all kinds of problems, this is a particularly bad one. Multiply antibiotic resistant bacterial strains in farmed pigs is another one.
