I've had a couple of those idiot lights, and the "55" highlighted on the speedo. The only thing I ever really disliked about Jimmeh Carter, because [I Can't Drive 55.]
Sold the Prius a few months back, after giving glass first right of refusal. Here's what I'm driving these days.
La Signora_Quarantanova is a painter, and this thing is great for hauling canvasses. And more fun to drive than it has any right to be! It's an '06 and we got it new, shows every sign of running forever.
Was gonna ask if that was a supercharger on the engine. Here's another supercharged car I saw in a guy's private collection in Italy coupla years back. It's 1.5L, supercharged, DOHC, in an Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 Gran Sport Spider Zagato that Nuvolari won the Mille Miglia with in 1930. Here's the car. Gorgeous thing. He started it up for us.
Is that an xB? I recently got a 2013 xD, which is super efficient and easy to park, and carries at least 3 guitars or basses and 2 amplifiers (with no passengers).
Yep, an xB. I could sit in the back seat wearing a top hat and stretch my legs out comfortably. So much better than “modern” cars with tiny slit windows.
Yeah, it's got five. A pure transportation appliance, as opposed to a life-style enhancement. I've had a few of the latter, but right now I'm enjoying tinkering with this thing: the beauty rings and chrome lug nuts, fog lamps, interior color mods to tone down the OEM pachinko look. Next up: an awesome stereo to drown out all the rattly sheet metal.
I have to replace the stereo in the car above because the CD changer became sentient and comes on even with the ignition off and drains the battery. That's what started this whole mess. The onboard computer really hates being powered down, and has made life difficult, to say the least.
Romanian citizens are fighting against corruption in government? We Americans could stand to learn from them…
/FFS
Rachel had a nice piece on it last night but I couldn't find a link on her website.
Saw that. Very inspiring!
Nicolae Ceaușescu had a sweet gig there for a while, too.
More coincidence http://www.historytoday.com/duncan-light/romania%…
It is now HOT here. Though not HAWT!
It broke 100 here yesterday, headed there again today.
17 more days…
Today's high here was 45. I wish I was kidding.
Ahhhhhhhhh, spring!
The water is going down in the St. Louis area, the interstates have reopened but some local roads could be flooded until Monday.
Since I'm still traveling back and forth, the only way to sync that would be to scratch on the walls in both houses. I ain't got time for that!
Had to put my hotrod in the shop. It needs a 50-state tune or I won't be able to smog it in CA.
Of what?
Oh, the car, duh?
Here's one:

Might hafta turn your monitor upside down…
Agreed, and I welcome the time. Maybe when Tesla builds their pickup truck…

I lived in U City during the '93 floods. It was so weird to drive out I-70 and just see it disappear into a lake.

Cool vehicle…like the Corvair, tragically ahead of it's time. Check out the "side-gate."

Yeah, what did they call it–the Greenbrier? Had a truck and a van, they did. And that bastard Nader killed it dead.

Niiiice!
I can see the utility of such a ride, but I have a real hatred of anything with more than two doors.
