If you like your coffee black, you may be someone who prefers strong flavours, takes good care of their health, or just wants to drink their coffee the way it’s supposed to be drunk. Or, you may be a psychopath.
Hey! I've always… I like it that way! That means nothing!
The closest association was between bitter foods and “everyday sadism” – that is to say, enjoyment of inflicting moderate levels of pain on others.
Um. Do radishes count?
And it isn’t just black coffee that should ring alarm bells – the study also found participants who reported a fondness for radishes, celery and tonic water were also more likely to exhibit antisocial traits.
What!? I have a garden! It's summer! Gin is medicinal and tonic has quinine! YOU TAKE THAT BACK GODDAMMIT
Previous studies have shown sweet taste experiences increase “agreeableness” and eagerness to help, while bitter taste experiences increase hostility and elicit harsher moral judgments.
Of course, like so many of these hyperventelated studies, | It's Utter Bullshit. | questionaire filled out by a self selected group of less than a thousand Americans. Control group? randomized selection of subjects? large diverse sample size over time? Double blind test setup? Of course not. Leading questions? Self selection? Group bias? maybe.
But they did a Regression analysis so, Science!
I am disappoint. Now I won't have coffee to blame for those unfortunate events.

LOL, I can't stand any of those things. I'd still like to know who the fuck decided that celery counts as food FFS.

What is "something you'd better agree to beforehand". Alex?
Wiggle room for 'agree'?
Sure. As long as everyone realizes that | Great Art Requires Pain |.
Since it's warm- to -hot for so long, desire for a 'hot cuppa' has waned to the point of always drinking it cold. Is this a factor in psychopathy?
I think it would depend on how hard you made the Barista cry.

Also radishes. They're not just for horses anymore!
Raw carrots are, though.
The thing with celery is you have to throw out the mature, fibrous outer stalks and all the leaves, and just eat the tender, delicate hearts. So good!
It's the best utensil for eating either peanut butter or cream cheese.
Hey, you know Who Else just ate the tender, delicate hearts?
He seemed nice.
after authorities discovered that Gein had exhumed corpses from local graveyards and fashioned trophies and keepsakes from their bones and skin.
Excitable boy, they all said.
