      1. It's really wonderful: exotic, but American as any mid-Pacific weapons platform could ever be.

        On Oahu there are some species of snails so rare that they live in only a couple of trees. It's remoteness gives it the greatest known concentration of rare species. Humans only arrived there some time between 700 and 1100 CE, bringing with them the Islands' first mammals. To this day, the only snakes are a few in the Honolulu Zoo.

        It's full of beautiful natural wonders, and the only state in union where racism is sort of |enshrined in the state constitution.|
