Seriously–I am so tired of people telling me "Wow, you're so tan!" as if it were a compliment. Yeah, I'm glad to be reminded that I am quite likely to get skin cancer thanks to the fact that medical science still can't come up with a sweat-proof sunscreen–and no, I am not giving up running for an indoor sport TYVM and FFS.
yeah- I run for half an hour, mostly under tree cover. I recently went from my 2.7 mile/300 foot elevation run to a 3.9 mile ~500 foot run, time went from about half an hour to 40-45 min. I'm going back to the shorter route for the moment. I found out about 5 years ago in my tender late 40s that exercising every day beat larger, epic workouts 3 days a week.
Also, you said Asics are the way to go with shoes? I'm due for a new pair.
Lemme know what you want. Get a head-start on the neighbors. Morels didn't work here, but maybe cacti there.

My skin cancer doc told me the damage was done in my childhood, nothing to do about it now except treat it when it presents. Stay on top of it!
