Y'all might already know this about me, but I've been there. I didn't stay there, because it's always been a dump, but a friend attending the same conference stayed there to save five bucks a night over the more desirable lodging available in town. I chose the [Mizpah,] early 20th century elegance. No clowns, but rather [ghosts.]
Great movie, particularly for us Olds who remember the big hits. I love the scene where Carol, the bass player, explains how Sonny & Cher came in with a kind of lame song called "The Beat Goes On," and then plays the bass line that makes the whole song.
Campbell was also a member of |The Champs|, although apparently not during the glory days of their hit, |Tequila|.
I never saw the movie, but I do have the book, and I swear I'ma read it someday.
It's on Netflix at the moment, if that helps.
I just minutes ago signed up for 75MBPS internet service, so Netflix might be in my future. I have to see how stable it is. My 50MB service has been kinda sketchy.
Pass. Clowns annoyed the fuck out of me even when I was a kid FFS.
Cemetery next door = Perfect.
The classic trope is true!!
'How'd you end-up in Tonopah?"
'Car broke down'

[Also supposedly haunted Goldfield Hotel, 1/2 hour south.]
Yes. Yes, we are.
OT, but [Adios, Glenn Campbell.]
There was a gentleman who could play some guitar.
He was a member of the legendary [Wrecking Crew.]
