      1. This is so true. The Germans were not even allowed memorials for their dead from WW II, and everybody who was a Nazi right down to the rank of corporal had varying degrees of inconvenience imposed upon them by the occupying powers. The US was doing that during Reconstruction as well, but had to abandon it in the |Compromise of 1877|, as the result of the disputed presidential election of 1876.

        But it's not too late to finish the job. The feds could start unilaterally with the Army installations named for |traitors.| The president could do it with an exec—oh, almost forgot for a moment.
