The archive conveniently stops just before the formation of the Vichy government.
But following the links, I found this, in the "16th Century" section
1. The Sun and Internal Heat do Separate, as it were by Distillation, the best juices and Substances in the Bowels of the Earth; which being percolated into proper Veins and Mines, and there congeal'd, grown solid, and ripen'd, they are in time made Metals
-A Discourse Upon Coins by Bernardo Davanzati, Being publickly spoken in the Academy there, Anno 1588
There's a lot of good stuff in it. May need broader treatment than one tune.
Concept album, double-gatefold.
Dude looks like he knows a thing or two about coins. Is that a wolf fur collar? Fancy!
OK. I will voice the narrative of the Discourse, a paragraph or two at a time. [ prob need some reverb ] then ten minutes of whatever you and zip and anyone else compose, then another paragraph. Like Wakeman did with those _________ couple of stories, Center of the Earth……..another one…..
Get C_R_, CR, and smokey to do the art.
The fur is probably from hairy peasants.
"Peasant Fur Coat" — that will have to be the 2nd album.
A similar approach being applied to Bacon's New Atlantis, with freakishly good results. (prolly linked to this once or twice before) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=slL29MvoOlE

HAWT!
I'm thinking like maybe a talking blues, a la Phil Ochs? What key is good for you?
Equally horrible in all.
Sounds more Prog to me though.
Sure! We can take it in a totally different direction. Do you have a mellotron?
Uhh, it's in the shop. Zip probably has one, or the software to fake it.
Was looking at the Discourse . This is Bernardo.
