    1. Great. So how do they explain that vein pulsing in Bannon's neck? I still agree with Colbert: how many days was Bannon floating in the bay before they dredged him up?

  1. I just assumed that he woke with a raging hangover, and then got dressed, not realizing that was still wearing clothes from the previous night.

  2. “It seems like 60 Minutes would like you to listen less and look more at Steve Bannon. By subtly tweaking the color of the video, they make him look like a bleary-eyed drunk…”

    Yeah, that's a stretch.

Edit: This was in response to Dewey's 1st comment up there, and I am not gonna delete it. Fuck it, we did it live.

          1. So those Beatles' records at "50% off sticker price" – do they mean the original sticker price? If so please buy all of them. And get yourself a fancy performer shirt while you're in the neighborhood.

          2. I have Day Tripper 45rpm, mono, and about a dozen others, which I inherited from a cousin. Not mint, either.

          3. My BIL, whose even older than I, bequeathed me all his vinyl, much of which had been in a flooded basement, but I've only found a couple I couldn't rehabilitate. I can report that "Chuck Berry's Greatest Hits" in mono on Chess contains nothing but great hits:

            Side1:

            Roll Over Beethoven
            School Days
            Rock And Roll Music
            Too Much Monkey Business
            Johnny B. Goode
            Oh, Baby Doll

            Side 2:

            Nadine
            Maybelline
            Memphis
            Sweet Little Sixteen
            Thirty Days
            Brown Eyed Handsome Man

          4. I think that's just a marketing ploy. Put a sticker on it that says $10, put a slash through it, then put $5 , which was probably what he wanted in the first place.

          5. Yeah, Hard Days Night , mono, $10.
These are not mint. From someone's attic . The guy with those and the 45's that ran the ad is the one that will
travel to buy vinyl in bulk, like from a radio station warehouse.

          6. No thanks. When I want some Beatles records I'll go get some Beatles records.

(my favorite youtube comment on the Andrew Bird video: 'He whistles better than Edward Snowden")

          7. 78s or no deal.

Actually I've never heard a Charley Patton record. Fahey did his masters theses at UCLA on him, plus he figures prominently in Do Not Sell at Any Price, Amanda Petrusich's very enjoyable account of life among the originalists.

      1. "We never play to segregated audiences and we aren't going to start now," said John Lennon. "I'd sooner lose our appearance money."

You can imagine Ted Nugent saying exactly the same thing, only in reverse.
