Jeffrey Mezger, chief executive of the homebuilder KB Home, will take a 25 percent cut to his year-end bonus as a result of his sexist and homophobic outburst against his neighbor, the comedian Kathy Griffin, the company said Thursday.
Any similar incidents in the future, the company also said, would result in Mr. Mezger’s dismissal.
In Mezger's defense it's not hard to imagine ways that living next to Kathy Griffin could be pretty irritating.
I find her kind of celebrity-irritating. Mezger apparently lost it when Griffin's boyfriend called the cops on a party Mezger was having for his grandkids.
Her shtick is not my taste either, but I think Rush Limbaugh has done such an effective job of demonizing her that she's permanently on the defensive, even (or especially) when someone else is clearly at fault.

It may be that Griffin's real crime was living next to rich guy. Everyone should be careful about that.
