  1. Yes, the US Army would slaughter these dullards and their handguns and rifles from 10 kilometers away with the 120-mm main guns on M1A2 tanks. If the patriot snipers somehow got close enough for small arms combat, they'd be blinded through their scopes with |Close-Combat Laser Weapons|.

    Modern warfare isn't for dilettantes.

So why isn't all this wonderful gadgetry working in Afghanistan or Iraq? Damned if I know.

  2. Our military could've neutralized that guy in Vegas pretty quick, too, if collateral damage weren't such a whiny and pissy reason to not level the Mandalay Bay.

  3. I've actually stayed in that hotel, or rather the Four Seasons enclave that occupies the top six floors or so. I see no reason not to take it down after a reasonable warning period.

  4. Then we'll spare it. Actually the Four Seasons was very nice, and about the only hotel in Las Vegas where you don't have to check in in the middle of slot-machine ding-dings.

  5. A former boss/mentor of mine was an industrial design artist in another life. His opinion of that body style was that it was a good looking design, but 20% too big. I think I concur. At that time, I drove a 1969 Mustang 2+2, and he drove a 1971 DeTomaso Pantera. Until he lost his license, then I drove a '71 Pantera with him on the [Passenger Side.]
