  1. Teevee says it was a "new route." Meaning fresh track? That's scary. The bridge in that image has enough graffiti to look like the line's been there a while.

    Let us remember, too, that Amtrack does not maintain any track except maybe the DC-NY "high" speed corridor.

  2. There is no evidence-base to say the train was vulnerable to diversion due to poor infrastructure fundings and a tax windfall for the rich.
