What they should've done is gone down the coast, removed Riverside, Imperial, San Diego, and Fresno too. And Contra Costa, if they have any respect for regional boundaries.
I just heard that a major landowner in a remote desert valley in which I own some acreage is testing the waters for a private prison out there. Hanging onto it might finally pay off for me.
They've been moving to NV and ID for years. I don't know how their cunning plan has worked for them in ID, but NV has turned out to be a pretty reliable shade of blue, might even elect a Dem governor this year!
I doubt it will ever come to fruition. There's not enough water for it, for one thing. And Inyo County doesn't want to provide services to such a remote location, either. The only solution is to cede the whole valley to adjacent Clark County, NV.
I'm pretty sure "New California", if done like that map, would also be a blue state.
I see they're trying to take the Emerald Triangle, too.
Where's that?
Humboldt, Mendocino, Trinity. Where they grow the good stuff. So I've heard, anyway, I don't partake.
As a red state, of course, New California would have to crack down on marijuana and forego all that tax revenue….suuuure.
NOOOOooooo! I count on the coastal elites to keep my neighbors in check!
Chill, brah. We got this.
Take Yuma too.
Nice offer, but we're thinking of gifting El Centro to AZ. <img src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-0ykb4fVn0ck/USFcgbI6M8I/AAAAAAAAP1E/rvFL4YaOC90/s400/IMG_2536.JPG"/>

New California's Cook PVI, averaged between 2012 and 2016: D+1.77
Enjoy your blue state, dicks.

There goes the neighborhood. <img src="https://pics.me.me/that-awkward-sign-prison-area-do-not-pick-up-hitchhikers-27043759.png"/>

Water Attorney.
New California will be consumed by its own flames. I don't need to do anything.
